Hi. I’m looking for an NVR recommendation. I have 10 4k 8 mp cameras poe. I have nvr5216-4ks2 at home and I’m looking for an NVR that would be able to handle 10 cameras at the highest resolution.

The NVR I have has the following spec:
“Decoding Capability: 4ch @ 8MP (30fps), 16ch @ 1080P (30fps)”.

Maybe I’m looking for an NVR with capability for decoding 16 ch @ 8mp?

“Decoding Capability: 4ch @ 8MP (30fps), 16ch @ 1080P (30fps)”.
That's for decoding the video to display it on the monitor.
It does not specify what the NVR is capable of when recording the video from the cameras to the HDD, that's the incoming bandwidth and maximum resolution parts of the specification.

For the NVR you quoted, this is :
Max 320 Mbps incoming bandwidth
Up to 24MP resolution for live view and playback

To determine if the NVR you've quoted can handle your 10 cameras, check the bitrate that you've configured for each camera, in their video settings, and add them all up and see how close to 320Mbps is the total.

Maybe I’m looking for an NVR with capability for decoding 16 ch @ 8mp?
A multi-camera view on a display would generally use the substream, which depending on it's settings for each camera could well be 1080p or lower.

Unless you're talking about some crazy big MP cameras, that NVR will be fine

I have a similar model and run 11 cameras (one being a triple lens) all others 4MP or 4K and run very high bitrates and all 30FPS without difficulty

Pretty sure that's Andy's AI-S2 series

8 HD's? for 16channels?

Not sure, you should talk with Andy
