Greetings. I have a LOREX N862ASB-Z 16 channel NVR that has stopped working. First the network port stopped working, and now the cameras. I've tried everything out there, including replacing the Realtek network switch on the circuit board. It's most likely the HiSilicon SoC that is bad. Anyway, any recommendation on an NVR that is compatible with the 8 4K cameras I already have installed around my house? I also have 2 W261AQ wi-fi cameras and the lorex video doorbell that connect via fusion, and I'm ok losing that capability since I ran network cables to those locations. I know I can order another Lorex NVR but I'm kind of over their equipment at this point.

I put in the LOREX fusion series of DVR and I love it. The really cool feature is it will do 8 or 16 wired IP cameras dependent on which you buy then it does 6 more wireless cameras. Wireless cams come in great in those areas where you cant easily run a wire. I think if you look at the latest items Lorex has you will be impressed!

Lorex, used to carry Dahua oem products.

In general I have found the life span of nvrs to be less than that of a business class pc and a separate poe switch.

If you're wanting a NVR get a dahua oem nvr from EmpireTech for best results with dahua oem cameras from lorex.

Note I would need to double check the lorex model camera you mentioned to see if it is indeed a dahua oem camera.
