Nube questions on Blue Iris

I've been using Smart PSS for years with an Amcrest NVR. I saw that PSS was now unsupported so I moved to DSS Express, but now that is no longer available. At this point the NVR is failing and I'm thinking about just building an nvr with a 'retired' PC.

In another thread Blue Iris was recommended by a couple folks. I installed it on one of my systems and played with it a bit. It's VERY different in interaction from what I'm used to, so I thought I'd ask a couple of quick questions before I commit to it.

Is there a 'client' for PC?

Historically I've run an NVR that just does the recording 24/7, and then have a dedicated PC at my workstation running Smart PSS and more recently DSS Express client. That system has one 'ultra wide' monitor with 8 cameras on it, and another 32" monitor setup in 'portrait' mode (tall rather than wide) with the other 4 cameras on it.

Assuming there is a client, either dedicated app or client mode in the main program, is there the ability to use multiple monitors, and arrange the live cameras on them as desired?

Aside from that the app, while different from PSS or DSS, seems very handy, so I'm hopeful I can make the move and gain some of it's AI functions etc.

Thanks for any thoughts or input!

Remote monitoring (remote as in on another PC) of cameras on a Blue Iris installation is usually done through the Blue Iris Web interface, Ui3, which can be accessed through a browser on another PC (or mobile device).

I suppose for multiple monitors, you could run two instances of Ui3 (in two browser windows), with different cameras or camera groups configured on each, and then move these browser windows to the desired monitor.
