I've been talking with BI support about this but I thought I'd ask here also because I might be fundamentally misunderstanding something.
All I want is for AI to confirm that there's really a person (or car etc) in the zone that triggered the motion detector. What I actually see is that sometimes, I receive the notifications (push and email, in my case) before AI has confirmed the alert, and in some cases, even after AI has canceled the alert. The alert ends up on the canceled alerts list, but I still received the push notification and email.
AI Alert Confirmations are set up like this. "Move to canceled alerts list" is working. Suppressing the alerts is not working.
All my actions are defined on the Motion/Trigger tab "On trigger..." section. I have no Action sets actions defined (Alerts tab). Support explicitly told me that ONLY Action sets ("Alerts" tab in camera settings) are subject to AI confirmation, and that actions in "Motion/Trigger" "On trigger..." are not subject to AI confirmation. Is that true?
What am I doing wrong?
UPDATE: indeed, actions should go in the Alerts tab. The actions in the Motion/Trigger tab are fired immediately in parallel with the AI work going on to confirm/cancel the alert... if confirmed, the actions on the Alerts tab are fired.
