New Year's Eve Driver Error

This was our final "present" from 2025



Had to use county Sheriff to get actual identity. Thanks to our camera system, got the make, model, and license. Dispatcher assumed we would be typical and have zero info about what caused our damages. She was pretty amazed that we already had that info on video.

Bet he is sore as hell this morning, looked like the front wheel rolled over him! Looks like your shrub/tree is the big loser. Could have been really ugly if she would have tried to jump in, she made the right choice.

He has a minor leg fracture, but can ambulate pretty well in a boot walker.
Yes, she would have been badly injured if she got ahead of that door.

Drove off. Nothing next morning either. Had to make report to Sheriffs to find their identity

That has happened to me and my father-in-law. We finally resorted to using boulders for protection against idiot drivers. They required no watering as well.

What the Fxxx is wrong with people these days! Absolutely dreadful that they caused so much damage and aggravation for you. Even worse they didn't have the decency to inform/apologise to you.
Hopefully his minor leg fracture, makes his leg fall off.

After their Sheriff's visit, the responsible driver and his son visited to apologize and promised to pay for damage repairs to our satisfaction.
I'm not sure they quite realize how expensive it is going to be making restitution for twenty year old tree and hedge that were both grown and specially shaped.

With the amount of video evidence I have, they will be taking care of the full restitution. They simply get to accept the easy way or choose the more expen$ive way.

Last time I checked, leaving the scene of a vehicle accident that involved property damage and/or personal injury was a crime, and depending on the degree, a felony. This should be charged in court. Why is SO not doing their job?

I left the scene in a drunken blackout, I left several scenes.....in one fell swoop. 1977

I took out a horse pasture fence, knocked over a speed limit 30 sign and clipped a mail box in the course of about a 1/2 mile. at 17.
The cops found me at the gas station buying oil, because the oil light was on. ( i had knocked the oil filter loose)
My dad was so mad at me...when he backed out of the Police station, he cracked the tail light on a Parked City Vehicle, AND LEFT THE SCENE!

I have a family History of leaving the scene apparently. It may have started with my Grandfather.
