I have done a lot of lurking and made a few comments, trying to get everything figured out.
Curious to hear everyone's thoughts on what additional cameras I should get and where I should place them. With the 3 T54IR-ZE-S3s I haven't determined placements for yet I could get coverage of the whole house, but identifying faces/people would be tough, which is why I am considering a few more cameras or specialized cameras for identifying people.
Right now I'm planning a few cameras.
Cameras 1 and 2:
Cameras 3 and 4:
Camera 5:
Cameras 6, 7, and 8:

Right now I'm planning a few cameras.
Cameras 1 and 2:
- Color4m-TZ
- Placed under the front porch and back porch
Cameras 3 and 4:
- B54IR-ZE-S3
- Placed on the sides of the house at the back looking towards the front
Camera 5:
- Reolink Elite Floodlight POE
- I purchased this before going down the rabbit hole of getting better cameras. I do like that it has a floodlight since we do not have one in the front right now. I know opinions on floodlights are mixed. I can just use it to supply supplemental light rather than flickering on. Would consider moving it or replacing it.
- VFOV is only around 50-55deg. I can have it cover the front of the house and street, but then I can't quite catch my garage doors if someone was to be standing directly under it.
Cameras 6, 7, and 8:
- T54IR-ZE-S3
- Haven't determined where I want to put these yet. I'm also considering a PTZ so that could factor in.
