New Arlo 4k Security cams charging for cloud storage.

Summary from article:
No more free storage ( 7 days free for video snap shots is a big selling point for Netgear's Arlo system )

Still unclear about quality of the "4K" image capture as well as continuous recording options for it and bandwidth usage.

Here's a decent post on youtube from a reviewer

Summary: do not spend your money on it at this time

Life Hacker is also concluding these cameras have been released too soon due to them needing more development / refinements.

My take:
If you want a quality setup, you will have to go wired for power and data. IP PoE preferred.

FYI - news, Netgear has now responded to "customer feedback" and is offering a free tier for these cameras, as well as the ability to record and view locally according to Steve Does.

Still seems the current consensus is "not yet recommended"

I have to wonder about the one comment in the review..."Arlo 2 is the BEST indoor camera" according to TechHive. Have to wonder if those guys have ever been out of their Mom's basement?
