I currently have ALPR running at two different locations.

My 1st setup was built using non ALPR cameras and OpenALPR software. This works well, but the ongoing running cost of OpenALPR is getting to be too much.

My 2nd setup was built using IPC-LPR437B-IR, these cameras work well for me. I use the ATSAPI feature where it can upload plate captures to a remote server.

If you were going to setup a new ALPR system today, what are the options? Expensive camera is OK, as long as there is no ongoing monthly fee which is really how they get you.

1) Do you want to stick with Dahua?
2) How far away are the plates you want captured?
3) Does camera size matter?

I have the 431 431ANPR that I really like. The 413 is a 8-32mm version.

@EMPIRETECANDY Also stated he's going to sell the new 431 with radar built in.

The radar have strict installtion, have to install beside the road or in the middle of the road(installing on the pole ), or else the radar will be not accurate to read the speed. So we may pending this model.

OK Thanks that would not work for my location. Has anyone done a review on the 431?

Not too good because the installing is badly limits, just get this model, the very good model for the money.
