Anyone have any experience or first look with the new 7 series?

The standard Varifocal specs look good...

What we have selling is a 8-80mm lens for the latest new 7 series.

nope. I can’t even find the new 2 series in 4k or 3.6mm.

Also Smartsens starlight (SL) sensors are fine. You could look at their 2026 lineup and argue it’s best in class. Let’s see the videos before trashing them.

This kind of camera can't sell too big, bit expensive, we can book for you guys if can wait, my focus is on keeping huge stocks of the 54 cameras, and the chips price keep going up. Financial pressure is very huge if keep those low selling models and expensive ones.

That’s cool, but if you can maybe list the 2 series wizcolor x in 3.6mm and also 8MP 3.6mm(at a decent price) you got at lease some buyers. I’ll spam the FOSS crowd for you as long as not total disappointment. Gotta be better than my old n45ej62s.

4mp we already got some.

If it’s the same sensor in the 54PRO then I’ll pass … digital noise on moving objects is bad… real bad

That’s cool but the standard 2.8-12mm VF is what would imho sell. Min Illum specs look good and 150db WDR, dual mics, speaker. Etc

Smartsens has been releasing new stuff constantly. The wizcolor X appears to use the 2026 stuff acccording to specs. I don’t know.

Doesn’t matter. People complained about the AI stuff, so this time they come out with pure optics. Sounds to me like they listened. It’s worth trying out.

We’ve seen 4 of the new models this year. I’m told they all use the same sensor.
54PRO, 3 series TIOC,24, IL
And it shows

There are tests here on the forum

Just got back from Costco, drooling over a $40k Yamaha piano. Makes those $600 cameras look almost free.

@Chokolinho If you're referring to the F0.8 T24PRO-X camera, not yet. However, y'all fail to believe me and needlessly trash-talk the Color4M-TL quality budget camera without testing it for yourselves. This camera is merely version 2 of that same camera, so I expect it will be an incremental improvement of an already good camera. With that track record, I seems to me that y'all will need to buy it for yourselves to convince yourselves either way. Perhaps the higher price of $140 (instead of $95, now 110) will make you feel like you're paying for a good camera and influence a more positive review.
