So i have a cheap tp link kasa outdoor wifi cam until I can run some poe cams.
Neighbor stands on mower to see if my pools clean. Years ago when I was changing my liner and it went a week dirty he called the city and they came out to inspect for "stagnant water" which falls under a health concern. I have this up because im concerned about what he might do to our new chickens.

So your neighbor is also a self-appointed city health inspector that can perform an extremely accurate assessment of pool water conditions by standing for 2 seconds on a moving riding mower from over 20 feet away......get that man a job with NASA.
</end sarcasm>

Whose property is the asshole neighbor on in the video?

P.S. ---I know there's lots of light and no rapid motion to capture but I gotta say that IS a crisp, colorful video and snapshot form that "cheap tp link kasa outdoor wifi cam" ! :)

P.P.S.-- Too bad there's no real mechanism to report him for bypassing the kill switch under his riding mower's seat so he can stand up and the mower not stop.

Out of curiosity, what model number is this camera? I searched for tp link kasa outdoor Wi-Fi cam, with no results

I bought my mower that way used. Didn't know there was a kill switch with silly wires not connected under the seat. Nor a disconnected switch for reversing while the blades are engaged;)

Hey, it's this one. But just a heads up, TP Link integrated Kasa into their line up so any future cameras i buy will be TP-Link and not Kasa. Tp link app adapts for both but the Kasa app won't import tp link cameras.
Its 34 bucks and is 2k but does feature person detection which is great until I can get some poe stuff installed. Needs a micro SD card for 24/7 recording.
I have a few of these and their indoor $24 cameras are great too.

Wonder if someone could cobble together a motion activated sprinkler with an AI powered camera to detect your neighbor. The footage would be hilarious.

Unfortunately hes on his property, all 5 ft of it. Ill be building a fence but at 6ft max his is still higher because it's on top of a man made berm....

Just an FYI...
Stick with TP-LINK's "Tapo" line (at least at present) and there's several that are ONVIF-compliant and will stream RTSP with no cloud directly to VLC, Blue Iris, etc.

List here:

My neighbors park in my driveway all the time when picking up and dropping off kids.

Too bad they did not post a parts list and diagrams. I suppose it could simply be a camera with an output to replace the existing motion sensor.
From what I understand, some of the motion sensor sprinklers work very well and they're readily available. I'm sure with general mechanical skills, one could assemble a similar design to the Aussie video

Unfortunately, you have to be careful of doing things like this anywhere in the US. All it takes is one of those parkers to get sprayed and accidentally becoming a victim and it could ruin your whole weekend.

The camera you link to is a wired camera. I thought this was a Wi-Fi camera?

When it says wired it means power wall plug not poe. They have solar and wired. I dont think they have any poe at all. Its all wifi or solar. The camera is in fact, wifi only connection.
Wired to a wall using a USB hard wired into the camera. If that makes sense.
