Need help unlocking OEM Hikvision DVR (URS-DVR7104) – XML file attached

Hi everyone,

I have a locked DVR (model: URS-DVR7104), which is an OEM version of Hikvision (likely equivalent to DS-7104HGHI-F1). The distributor no longer exists, and Hikvision support refused to help since it’s OEM. I'm trying to reset the password using SADP Tool.

• Model: URS-DVR7104
• SN: C53940907
• Firmware: Hikvision OEM
• Motherboard: ds80237_P rev6.0
• XML exported successfully via SADP Tool
• Date on device: (please read from XML / SADP)

I already tried shorting the JP1 pins on the motherboard, which reset the date/time but not the password.

I'm attaching the XML file exported from SADP Tool. Could someone help generate the unlock file or key?

Thank you for your response and the helpful video link! I really appreciate you taking the time to assist.

Fortunately, I was able to resolve the issue by contacting Hikvision USA Support. Here’s what I did in case it helps others facing the same problem:

1. Installed the SADP Tool on my computer and connected it to the same network as the DVR.
2. Powered on the DVR and located it via SADP Tool.
3. Clicked "Forgot Password" and exported the .xml file to my desktop.
4. Went to Hikvision USA’s support page, selected "Password Reset Request", filled in the required details, and attached the .xml file.
5. Within minutes, they replied with a .zip attachment.
6. Downloaded, extracted, and uploaded the .xml from the folder file via SADP Tool, then set a new password and success!
