What does every think about the latest NDAA ban? Seems the brands that were banned before.... There is that new ruling that means starting tomorrow, 7/15/2026, vendors are not allowed to sell the products. This is not only on the branded items from Hikvision and Dahua... but also vendor's products that used Hikvision/Dahua's FCC. Said to be a fine if caught. All new products will require the vendor to get FCC certification using their own name. So while the Hikvision/Dahua products would still be sold in the future, it is up to the importer to get FCC certification themselves. Products will not be labeled as the same products due to such but would say it is Hikvision or Dahua "compatible".

I haven't read the passage, but if it is as you outlined, as long as folks have a legit pathway I am OK with it. It beats the alternative of not allowing any OEM in.

I've heard previously that ADI sent all their Hikvision products back to Hikvision for credit and no longer carry their products. Some smaller distributors I seen bought these products at a discounted rate to resell a few months ago from Hikvision and were selling them at a slight discount. Now these same vendors are dumping these at insane discounts before this new rule goes into effect tomorrow.
