Hi all. I havent been on here in a while but I'll be visiting more frequently. I wanted to share a build that I had installed and completed today. From fruition, to funding (municipal money), to supply issues, to building and install this project took 7 long months.
My client is looking for portable surveillance pods that can be installed fairly easily with only a power connection needed. This cabinet is comprised of a Altelix nema enclosure with a hardwired single gang, dual outlet. The enclosure is temperature controlled with a fan and two exhaust ports. Inside is a Ubiquiti cloud key plus, and 2.5g flex switch that supplies POE++ via a 210w power supply. The client has an existing ubiquiti environment and all that was needed to incorporate this cabinet was the cloud key. As for connectivity we started off with a cradlepoint and got sick and tired of their outrageous license fees. We tested out a new Teltonika RUTM50, with zero licenses fees, and so far its worked like a charm. With it being 4/5g compatible, pushing a 3.4gig throughput, and dual sim capability, and a very good GUI, I will be a returning customer.
For cameras this client is Avigilon centric. The application for this is to watch over a secure government area in a remote location. With two pathways on each side of this area, 8mp H6A bullets were used. And for overall coverage a 32mp M5H 4 lens multihead was used. With everything mounted to the front door of the cabinet, and with water tight flex connectors, along with Ubiquiti outdoor rated cat5e, this cabinet should be water tight and shouldn't be impacted by the elements.
I'll attach a video and some pictures below. Thanks for the read.
