MOVIES, TV Series Recommendations...

The wife just started McLeod's Daughters

It is an Extremely Long series, 8 Seasons...224 Episodes...hahaha, 40 minute avg. each, 8,960 total minutes. 149 hours, lol

Some seasons have 32 Episodes...crazy...

Should keep her out of my hair for a Month, LOL

Watch the Harold and Kumar Trilogy ;)

We did watch Rooster, it was a funny watch...the humor is fast paced, well for us old slow folk ;)

So the wife finished this 224 Episode series. I can't believe she watched the whole thing. Took her about a month. She watched almost every day. I watched some with her while we ate lunch and dinner together. She got her sister to start watching, haha and a friend of ours too.

Way too much drama for me, but my wife kept me informed what was going on. ;) :)

Thinking of Heartland next for her, hahaha, it has 281 Episodes with 19 Seasons and as more seasons to come...lol The more I can keep her busy, the more she stays out of my office, haha

Watch Fridays with Frank.... :)

Had a cop tell me once, a few years back that about 30-40% of his stops people don't have valid licenses or ID as well as no Ins., this is in Houston. Did not ask about illegals back then but I am sure they have plenty in Houston.

Anyone else watching the fourth season of Reacher on Amazon Prime? The writing has been a bit thinner than season 3, the characters are less complex, and the major protagonist (Reacher) already bedded the babe in Episode 3. At least in Season 3, they waited until the 6th or 7th episode.

It's because it is the last season and only 8 episodes. They don't have much time to "get it on". I guess the producers are more interested in the "Neegler" spinoff coming in the near future. Personally, I think the "Neegler" character should have stayed with the Reacher series. Reacher is the star and is why I watch. Love the one liners and skits. My guess is the Neegler spinoff doesn't make it one season

The wife and sometimes I watched Reacher, but not Season 4 yet. She likes to watch the whole season at once...think Episode 4 in Season 4 was the latest.

On the Movie side of things, here is out list of Major Dudes this year, 2026:

Project Hail Mary. Before I get to the worse, this one was ok but easily forgotten. Far from a Blockbuster in our (the wife and I) opinion...

Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu. Wow, what a joke, Huge Disappointment...Felt like a teenager wrote the script, their were bad CGI scenes all over this movie.

Disclosure Day. Steven Spielberg really bombed on this one...Extremely Cheesy movie...

Masters of the Universe. Not on our watch list but since our daughter grew up with the cartoons she made us all watch it :). She even gave this a very low score. Hate movies that try to put in comedy and make the movie suck more.

David L:

Project Hail Mary. IMO, it has been a very, very long time since a good family movie has been released. Took my family to see it, and every one enjoyed it, to include my wife, which is NOT into Science Fiction, but she really enjoyed this one.

Master of the Universe: You really have to try to make a movie that is this terrible. IMO, the Robot was the best actor thru out.

I quit watching Star Wars as they are just whoring it out now. IMO, the last good Star Wars movie that was made was Rogue One.

Yeah I guess Project Hail Mary is a Love or Hate with us in the middle. The Alien, to us was a bit cheesy being a rock/block looking alien but aliens are hard characters to make unless they take on a human form like Resident Alien series, which to us was quiet funny.

The interaction between the Alien and Ryan was kinda weird but I get where people would like it, especially kids, with their funny moments. People seem to gravitate to characters like E.T. and Baby Yoda, the cute Aliens/Non-Humans...or half like Spock :)

The story line, a person wakes up in space, nothing new there, but the whole story line of them trying to save their planets because their Suns are dying well I guess that works...

We are old, guess more critical, harder to please these days, lol, had we went to the movies to see this 20-30 years earlier with our kids I can see where it would be a Hit. Plus, Movie Goers have spoken and give this movie a 8.2 rating, we would give it a 6 or 6.5, maybe a 7 tops...ratings of 8 or higher are for the Great Movies, in our opinion...but who are we to argue with half a million people...

I'm with ya. I am a HUGE movie fan, but as I age, so does my taste in movies. However, as strange as the alien was, it just seemed to work for Project Hail Mary. I am not a huge Ryan Gosling fan, but him and Sandra Huller just jived in this movie.

I will add: Star Fleet Academy was about the WORST DEI Bullshit that has EVER been done to Star Trek! IDGAF who's opinion it is, this series DIED almost immediately and for good cause! However, it is hard to beat the likes of Tracey Abrahams as the President of the United Federation of PLANETS. OMG!

As for Star Wars, should have left it in the era of Lucas Arts. Just whore's ville now.

The wife was watching "I Will Find You" last night when I joined her around supper time and ended up watching the last 4 Episodes with her. We went to bed at midnight so it was good enough for us to stay up. :) Will say it had us guessing Whodunnit the whole series. Only 8 Episodes on the Mini-Series. I am really liking these Mini-Series. They are like a long Movie when there is too much story to cram in a 2-3 hour movie. Most are reasonable in size and they don't drag on like regular series. Think I have a short attention span. They say as we get older we become like kids again, haha...
