Motion detected but no rectangles or highlight showing -- update

Helping my daughter clear up false motion positives. Her rear home camera is detecting numerous motion overnight and some in daylight. But no objects are showing in the video. I turned on highlight and rectangles to try to see what is causing the false positives. We are not getting any highlights or rectangles on either the alert captures of the continous recordings. Enable motion sensor is checked. As is onvif/camera events. Currently we have min obj size @ 293, min contrast @ 25%, min travel @115px. Persistence @ 900 msec. Method is simple and highlight is set at highlight and rectangles.

On my cameras I have the settings pretty much the same and I do get rectangles on th emoving objects just fine.

Any suggestions?

*** Update*88 Digging deeper I did just notice that on the alert tab her audio trigger is checked. Playing back a few of the "false positives" I noticed audio peaks. I will uncheck the audio box today and see how this behaves. But I still wonder about actual motion highlights and rectangles. A clip from early this morning has her walking her dog on th erear camera. An alert video was created but no highlights or rectangles onher or the dog.

I thought I saw something that said if you are recording direct to disk, the rectangles etc would not be saved with the video, check the help file about direct to disk recordings
