I bet ya'll have Holiday Deals too. What was wild here, we went to a small/bigger town near us that had a smaller HEB but they said they did not have the $5.50 a pound deal because they were not in a Competitive area. ??? When we asked more, he said only the bigger stores who compete with Walmart/Kroger etc. will have competitive pricing. Guess we got spoiled living in the big city.
So, what we did was it take in a Movie, the new Avatar in 3D, in Bryan/College Station then went to the big HEB. It was a 2 hour round trip drive, but we saved pennies in gas to get there and back, hahaha.
