The Nasdaq Composite peaked at 5,132.52 on March 10, 2000, and fell to an intra-day low of 1,108.49 on October 10, 2002.
This represents a decline of 78% from its peak during that period.

It took 15 yrs to recover.

Only thing she forgot to add is their flight cost and hotel stays, time off of work, etc..I am sure it is still cheaper but I kinda doubt it is cheaper compared to someone who has Ins. in the states.
