I’m way out of my league on the intricacies of bank repo and counterparty risk, but this does seem to tie directly to the ongoing concern about Private credit and big bank exposure to same.
As noted by some:

Meaning, it was fine until it wasn't
Probably nothing...

The U.S. cannot and must not let the AI industry fail. That would have very serious consequences, given all the capital that has been invested in it.
