100-month car loans are now a thing. Kelley Blue Book data shows 31.3% of auto loans issued last month were for 72 months or longer, with more and more at 100 and 120 months.
57.4% of new auto loans last month carried negative equity, meaning the buyer owed more on their trade-in than it was worth.
Most of them rolled that old debt into the new loan.

Must be folks spending that $5K in anticipation of being reimbursed?

Or real inflation as opposed to that reported?

I’ll admit, I did buy supplies last month

  • updated emergency medical supplies
  • updated go bags
  • added more .556/9mm
  • bought a shit load of batteries
  • bought more 5442’s for inventory
  • upped gasoline storage from 4 to 8 5gal tanks
  • added some emergency rations
  • buried another $5k in the backyard
