Not true in Oregon. The state Corporate Activity Tax of about 0.6% is based solely on revenue with no regard to profit or loss. After it went into effect a lot of smaller pharmacies folded. Some businesses charge it as a line item to the customers. Most can't and have to just add it to retail prices. The courts ruled that it's not a sales tax, even though it obviously is. The Oregon constitution prohibits sales taxes.

Here is a good link show how much of market drawdown happens during Midterm Elections. Look at 1990, this is similar to what is happen now, Gulf War buildup and an oil price spike.

I agree, I think we have the perfect storm coming. Plus Trump saying that the war will end after the elections. So before the elections big dip then big gains after the elections.

Just before After Hours closed I couldn't shake the bad feeling about the markets.
As you can see below I went to, all cash 15 minutes before close
Did the same in the Mrs account where the other 500 shares were
Wild how the Bid/Ask and Price were exactly the same from that morning!

I thinks there is going to be a selloff right at the open, everyone taking profits from Friday's gains
So many moving parts outside of the market itself is what gives me pause
