I'm currently testing a revodata I704-2-P-HSV6 for use in a mobile application. It claims 25fps, but that rate drops off rapidly in low light or night vision scenarios. I've found if I reduce definition to 1080p then it is much smoother, but still falls off. I'm using this to take video from a moving vehicle, so avoiding jitter is important.

Are there any cameras of similar size that will offer a 25fps+ framerates in low light? Must be outdoor rated.

You can't expect a very mini size and a powerful function. For farmland can paint the normal camera, also not easy to be found.

5MP on a 1/3" CMOS, it's very bad, your camera needs to set shutter speed longer than 1/25s to get a bright enough image, thus framerate drops below 25fps. If it allows, try to set max shutter speed to shorter than 1/25s, but that way you will certainly get darker video

Any suggestions for other cams with similar form factor? They can be bigger than this, I just don't want a full sized bullet cam for this application. 2-3x larger would be acceptable.

I don’t know an already made model with your requirement, but it seems that the one you already have is in standard 38*38mm size. You can buy another 38*38mm camera module and replace the one inside. PoE board can be re-used, you just need to replace the camera board.

For better low light performance, you can also replace the lens with one with F1.0 aperture. Usually you can buy it together with the camera model. Pay attention to the lens hole size of your camera housing. The one you have seems to have a M12 lens, so avoid a M16 lens

If 4MP is what you want, recommended 1/1.8” sensors for you to search on eBay or aliexpress: OS04A10, SP4329, SC450AI, IMX664

I looked into your camera, and found the housing it's using. Selling for about $3 on taobao with IR board included, just like the one you have. It's built specially for standard 38*38mm camera modules. Inside your camera is a $10 worth Xiongmai GC5053 module. PoE adapter integrated in the tail wire, not inside the camera housing, which is good for you to re-use

You can replace the module inside without any issue. Remember to buy a module with M12 lens, if you don't need the IR LED board, remove it, then you can use a M16 lens. You can't reuse the currently one, since its sensor size is smaller

Or you can just buy another same housing and PoE tail wire together with the new module

Anjvision MC-J30, the 4MP version is selling for $42 with a F0.9 M16 lens+PoE wire. Seller lists the sensor as OS03A10 which is wrong, real sensor used is SP4329, it's the same sensor used in Hikvision 4MP ColorVu cameras, and have excellent low light performance. Problem is that the board size is 42*42mm, you need to check if it can fit into your camera housing before purchase
