Merged/Spanned Disks in BlueIris - Possible?

Is that going to run SATA drives right? it appears as though it also is compatible with SAS?
In my Crazy Eddie get it while they last Hurry before they're gone! Storage toilet paper hoard mode.... I ordered an enclosure for 2 drives. Now I think I should have gone bigger. My 2-8tb 7200 RPM WD 82PURZ'S are idle with the optiplex 9020 taking over for BI this week. It's got 9 TB of Video storage, might be enough for 3 weeks.
It’s uses SAS to SATA breakout cables. It has twin SFF-8643 connectors which can support 4 sata drives each.

I run my storage on legacy dynamic disks (spanned) with no issues. Storage spaces is the replacement for dynamic disks, but I hate the management interface for it.. It's just clunky.

I did run stablebit drivepool for the free trial, but it was overly complicated for what I needed. It did add a little system overhead as well.

Yes, as @biggen stated. I ended up reading a lot about the SAS HBA cards and decided to go with that instead of a SATA card. Once I get this puppy up and running, we will see if I made the correct choice.
