Read the cliff notes in the wiki. The wiki is in the blue bar at the top of the page.

It is not the number of cameras, it is the bits per second.

Could not find the computer you linked to on eBay. what is the processor. What is the cost $. The other specs look good.

What type of cameras ? Brand model ?

It’s i7-3770, 16gb RAM, 256 ssd + 3tb storage. Win 10 pro..
Seems decent but worry processsor won’t be up to scratch.
that is high for an old machine like that in the US but it dont know what the going rate is there..
also consider that for h.265 hardware acceleration you will need a 6th gen or higher...blue iris does not support h.265 acceleration yet, but may in the future..

Thanks for the tip. That one is out..

Seen a i7 6700 machine now. £410 (but can make an offer)... i’d need to upgrade ram in this one though..

So, the Elitedesks that are being sold without an OS, will Win10Pro activate on those machines when using the media creator tool?
Or do you actually have to cough up $$.

The ones I am looking at include windows, but installed from COA sticker so likely upgrade from an earlier version...

If it has a w10 sticker or says w10 downgraded to 7 on it then yes...I've bought many... activates free no issues... anything i56500 or newer is almost 100 percent certain to have 10....

800 ($1020) way to much for a blue iris PC. Keep it under $350.

Look at buying a PC with a 500 gb drive and os. Then add your own SSD and large disk.

I can pick up the following spec for £266 delivered.. Seems like a good deal - just need to add storage drives.

HP Elitedesk 800 G2. Intel i5-6500 CPU @ 3.20GHZ with 16GB DDR RAM. Has a 256GB SSD and comes preloaded with Windows 10 (Enterprise Edition)

Looks good.
What type of case.
Get a 4tb purple drive for video storage.

if you are going to go with 7 4k cameras get the i7

Bit late now, as this one is now paid for, but tbh, I might only go for 4K at the front of house, and have lower res for the side cams..
For price I paid, I can always upgrade CPU later if I feel it's needed. Nothing else came close to this price, even lower spec ones had higher asking price.
