Hi there. I have a rebranded Dahua sd-32203-hn-adt. The area around the sd card seems to have fried/corroded also the lens looks like it has a cataract and a cracked glass filterimage2.jpg

That camera still works?

Yes i believe it is from water intrusion.
No the lens does not work. However i can still access it from a web browser and use the ptz functions. Just no video. Any idea where to get a replacement?

You will have to clean up that board, ribbon cable, connector. After that, you should somehow neutralize the oxidation, because that will continue to corrode, and the camera eventually will fail. Maybe use some clear coat, or something. I know they sell that green protective liquid, but it escapes the name for it right now.

Regular clear spray lacquer will work fine for a conformal coating. Don't be stingy with it, but don't over do it either. No runs, no drips, no errors.

So probably not going to find a replacement? I will try my best to fix it myself. Whats the best way to clean the corroded bits? How about the lens? It appears to be part of an assembly. Also rhe outer glass over the lens?

It is possible, but you will have to measure yours. Can you get to the thread? You would need a caliper for that.

I have a caliper. I will have to look closer. I think there is a plastic cover that needs removed that will hopefully reveal more

You should measure the current height, to be easier to set the new lens focus.
12MM= .472 diameter

If the ribbon is long enough, you could cut that part off and use some sand paper, to clean a small strip off from that protective coating.

It will take a while to sand though.

Caig Deoxit can do wonders in cleaning up corrosion.
