Latest Post, really?

Hi all. Yes, rather new to the forum and have a quick question: On the HOME screen are shown the Latest Posts. If I hover over the thread title, a pop-up shows the beginning of that post. Is there any way to have this hover (or hovering somewhere else) show the beginning of the Latest(!) Post?

call me crazy but I just have this as my main bookmark that I first launch. What's new That page is more useful (to me).

Unfortunately the What's new page behaves the same. The hover popup is only a preview of the 1st post, not the latest.

@area651 : Thanks for the point to What's New. Although it does behave the same, What's new->Latest Activity does have 1 line of content. I think that's my new start page.
