Is this the right camera?

I'm new to this so thought I would just ask. I live in south Louisiana and have a small canal running along the back yard that is connected to a swampy area. We get visits from large turtles, egrets, and the occasional alligator, so I want to mount a couple of cameras on a shed and watch the local wildlife, mostly at night; the attached sketch gives the general layout. After reading lots of posts, I landed on this one. Is it OK, or am I missing it?

At night the ZE would be good out to 20ish feet, maybe a little more since it is for wildlife and not people.

I would probably add the Z4E for the longer distances.

I run the 4K-T with LEDs in at night to get color. Honestly a lot more activity in the daytime
The 54IR is a great camera, but you'll be running IR at night without a ton of supplemental white light. Not sure hiow IR does reflecting water up close...

Of course it all depends on time of day, sun direction, etc...

4K-T

I found this on Amazon, is it the one you meant?

Did you mean to add this one, or replace the turret cameras?

Or if no or little ambient light IPC-B54IR-ZE-S3 instead of the turrets for a bit more IR light?
Same question, add-to or replace the turrets? It looks like the bullet and turret cameras are both aimed during the installation, then are pretty much stationary. Is there an advantage of one or the other?

Great clips, I didn't realize 'gators were so popular!

Depending on your budget and needs, either add the Z4E or replace one of the proposed ZEs with a Z4E.

I did some google searching and made a rough sketch, so I'm starting to understand the trade-offs. We'll probably get one turret camera and try it out; then pick the next from there.

Good move. Get a variable focus and you can rough approximate various lenses you may need

Bullets generally have stronger IR due to more LEDs
Also most turrets cap out at 12mm lens. Bullets can accommodate bigger and can go to 32mm and even 60mm

Standard varifocal vs zoomed in Z4 bullet -12mm vs 32mm. (neither at full zoom. about 75-80%)
