Is there any really currently at this day and age to go analog using siamese cable with DVR? I guess it could be said that in you can go farther distances and less latency. Cheaper cameras but more expensive cabling. DVR's can't handle the higher FPS that the camera is able to output at certain megapixel ratings... Not too sure what are the selling points for it. Any ideas?

At the moment the only reason that I can think of to go analog would be if the latency of a network camera was intolerable, such as monitoring a machine, conveyor belt or the like and I needed as close to real time as possible. And as most of us know, that's why backup cameras in vehicles are analog...imagine a 1 second (or more) delay when backing up to an obstacle, trailer hitch, etc.
