Is the regime in Iran soon to be toast?

It’s great but nobody knows what’s in it…

(Because they’re changing it as we speak and as the humiliation sets in)

THIS is why he gave away the farm. We're weeks away from $6 p/gal gas
(well that and we ran through 1/2 of our munitions and getting more aggressive meant massive US casualties)

and ..

MIDTERMs

Trump has to spin this as a win for midterms
Democrats have to spin this as a big L for Trump

sort of sucks for the USA that the 2 sides can not fully work together for the best interest of the USA

( recall Joe Biden played this game in Vietnam, when the democrats pulled the promised funding for South Vietnam armed forces. Hard to fight the North Vietnamese when your planes and helicopter have no gas ..
major betrayal of South Vietnam .. but hey, what is new with the USA as an "ally" )

Three things

1- I truly dont think he cares about midterms. I really don't.
2- I think he believes he has a shot at another term
3- Dems dont have to do a thing. Trump is and has been hanging himself to anyone who sees whats happening.

There is no way to "Spin" this. Its a complete, and total failure and defeat.
It is the most humiliating foreign endevour in the history of the United States (at least since the fall of Saigon)

Trump said all the quiet parts out loud at this press conference

Iran gets $300 Billion
Iran gets it's frozen assets back ($100 Billion)
Iran has the right to ballistic missiles
We are going to run out of oil in 4 weeks
I know I'm forgetting something

This was wild, never seen anything like this before

what !?!?!?

>We are going to run out of oil in 4 weeks

who is we here ?

4 weeks .. iirc there will be trouble before the oil in the middle east make it to the consuming nations, gonna see pain if that is right "4 weeks"

10 to 14 days is the typical transit time for oil tankers traveling from the Persian Gulf to Australia via the Strait of Hormuz.

A standard voyage for a Very Large Crude Carrier (VLCC) from the Persian Gulf to Japan takes approximately 19.5 to 20 days of pure navigation, or 45 to 50 days for a full round trip including loading and unloading.

The change in talking points is astonishing. A few weeks ago it was that it doesn’t matter if the SoH opens and we have all the leverage.

Now Trump basically admits Tehran blackmailed him into giving everything they wanted because they controlled the strait. Which btw incentivizes them to keep increasing their demands using same leverage.
In the same press conference, Trump defended not having any enforcement mechanism in the deal and even allowing the leading sponsor of terror continue their ballistics missile program. Not to mention giving them full sanctions relief with little in return.

The Obama deal at least requires specific nuclear commitments for the financial relief. Trump didn’t even get that.

Trump spent months telling Americans that we won and now Iran will give up everything. Then he signed a deal where they gave up nothing substantively and says he didn’t have a choice.

Why did he set the expectations to be that they would give up their nuclear program, end terror funding, end ballistic missile program?

A lot of people defended the admin’s strategy for months only to have him throw the entire enterprise under the bus.

And btw Tehran is already violating the agreement today in attacking ships but it doesn’t matter because apparently they can do whatever they want because all that natters is keeping the strait open at any cost. Many of us gave the admin a lot of leeway because they deserved credit for making the call. But there is no spinning this when he’s openly saying it.

One of my many favorites...

Trump says it's "a little bit unfair" to tell Iran they can't have missiles

Mebbe he should have thought about that 4 months ago?

Trump says he took Iran deal to prevent economic calamity: “If we didn't do this deal, we could have dropped more bombs for another three weeks, two weeks, four weeks, two years…You would never have the Hormuz Strait open…Your market would have, instead of going up…would go down at levels that nobody ever saw before, maybe except for 1929…I did not want to see economic catastrophe

300,000,000,000 USD.

Where are the upset GOP members?
Do you mean forum members or republican politicians?

If forum members, for myself in addition to being upset about this I'm upset about the ballroom, the UFC fight, climate problems vaporizing now that data centers need lots of power, and a lot of other things. What good would it do for me to complain about a mere 300 billion that will just further stoke inflation and enrich a country that despises us?

If republican politicians, they're just doing what the uniparty tells them to.
