Fars news agency, citing an informed source, said on Monday the draft memorandum recognizes Iranian-Omani authority over the future management of navigation services in the Strait of Hormuz, adding that Tehran only agreed to allow free passage for 60 days and plans to collect revenues for security, navigation, environmental and insurance services after this period. On Sunday, Iran's foreign ministry spokesperson said Iran will have to charge for services provided in the Strait of Hormuz.

In that map, technically ships can transit the strait without going into Iranian waters. So why do they still need to pay the toll. They may have to pay Oman but not Iran.
What a joke... vance is talking out both sides of his mouth... if the "deal" was signed yesterday, and Friday is just a formal signing, why can't the full text be released NOW? How is the "deal" signed but there are still "technical things" to work out?

Vice President JD Vance said “technical things” still needed to be negotiated between the two countries.
“We already signed the deal digitally yesterday,” Vance said on “Good Morning America” of the deal ending the U.S.’s blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. A formal signing ceremony will take place Friday in Switzerland, though Vance did not specify who would comprise the American delegation.
While Vance described “technical things” that continue to be negotiated, he said the administration plans to release the full text of the memorandum of understanding “this week.”
