Is the regime in Iran soon to be toast?

So that the US can take credit for scientific discovery and advancement. No wonder the human race is dragging and has not made significant progress besides believing in hegemony

Much of the scientific advancements have actually been already discovered thousands of years ago ;)

Yet, only a handful of troops ...

guess I would hit the Iranian gatekeepers of the Strait of Hormuz ..

Perhaps the Iranian port of Jask ( it is outside of the Persian Gulf ) is a target, .. either way USA only has a handful of troops

Jask is a strategic port city and county capital in Hormozgan Province, located on the Gulf of Oman approximately 1,690 km southeast of Tehran. It serves as a critical alternative route for Iranian oil exports, designed to bypass the volatile Strait of Hormuz, with plans for a new oil terminal, refinery, and petrochemical plant as part of a $1.8 billion investment in the Goreh-Jask oil pipeline.

The port is also the site of a major Iranian Navy base inaugurated in October 2008, which provides the capability to monitor the region and potentially close the Strait of Hormuz to block entry into the Persian Gulf. China has signed a 2020 deal to develop the port, enhancing its strategic value for Beijing's maritime interests in the Indian Ocean Region.

Current Status: While historically a small port handling agricultural exports to Oman, it is undergoing significant expansion to become Iran's largest commercial port.

Yes, Russia has assassinated people with knowledge, USA and UK were considering assassination of Nazi atomic scientists, ..

Iranian Regime targets those with knowledge

He was the subject of a death fatwa issued in 1989 by Iran's Ayatollah Khomeini, which forced him into hiding for nearly a decade, and he later survived a stabbing attack in August 2022 at the Chautauqua Institution that left him blind in his right eye.

Scientists, Journalists .. many civilians are and have been targets

State targeting of scientists, often framed as "scientist targeting" or "targeted killing," has been a strategic tool since the nuclear age began, primarily aimed at degrading adversaries' weapons programs. Historical data from 1944 to 2025 identifies nearly 100 instances where nations targeted scientists working on nuclear programs
assassinations not unusual ..

Georgi Markov and Alexander Litvinenko were both dissidents assassinated in London using poison, linking Cold War-era tactics to modern Russian intelligence operations.

Georgi Markov, a Bulgarian dissident and BBC commentator, was killed on September 7, 1978, when he was jabbed in the thigh with a poisoned umbrella tip containing ricin on Waterloo Bridge. Despite wide suspicions of Bulgarian and Soviet involvement, the case formally remains open with no convictions, and the British government's response was limited due to the political climate of détente.

I do not think the NO KINGs protests are significantly about Israel per se, as they were going to happen either with or without this new upswing in the battle with Iran
