I recall that $4.99 was the absolute highest I ever paid for gas and that was in Atlanta during Covid peak. Ye ol' dollar inflation calculator says that my $4.99 back then is like paying $5.57 today.

No regard for any International norms, order, or laws.

At some point other countries decide that International laws and retraint are no longer necessary as the US and Israel have shown.

Americans are insulated, so far. But its just a matter of time.
