They (F15's) obviously knew the F18 was supposed to be friendly and didn't do any avoidance. How could the Kuwaiti F18 not know the F15's were USA?

Initial reports from CENTCOM stated the jets were "mistakenly shot down by Kuwaiti air defenses." More recent reports (as of today, March 3) suggest a Kuwaiti F/A-18 Hornet may have been responsible, allegedly firing three missiles that downed all three American jets.

The Outcome: Miraculously, all six aircrew members (three pilots and three weapons systems officers) ejected safely. They were recovered in stable condition, with some assisted by Kuwaiti civilians on the ground.

Funny to think that CENTCOM operates out of Florida and they can command from thousands of miles away; there is always the possibility of human error

I'll believe this as much as just about anything else the government says. More likely IMO that Kuwait agreed to be the scapegoat for something else.

Other things we're supposed to believe examples:
Inflation going down.
Economy is great.
The El Paso laser target was a party balloon.
Epstein killed himself.
No tax on social security.
Covid shot safe and effective.
Can't get covid if you've had the shot.

I think it is to early in the game to call it a 'shit show'. If the Iranian people take their country/government back and stop being ruled by religious/fanatical zealots, then it will have been worth it.

Pay now, or pay later.

However, if they do not and the religious zealots stay in power, then yes, ABSOUTE SHIT SHOW.

IMO.

Iran claims so far as been mostly true but exaggerated. 11 bases have been hit with 9 bases confirmed to have severe damage to communication and radar sites.

They are themselves saying they are hitting US Embassy or civilian buildings like hotels in the middle east and civilian ships in the Strait of Hormez.
But they have denied hitting Saudi Oil facilities.

Current facts point toward a long protracted mess like just about every other “Regime Change” attempt

Carpet bombing civilians using Gaza tactics isn’t likely to win friends

This is seperate. Two days back Iran said it launched 4 missiles at USS Abraham Lincoln carrier and hit it. Centcom acknowledge the missile attack but said the missiles where neutralized far away.

For this new claim, Centcom is yet to make a statement.
