The US doesnt have the weaponry to win a conventional war without substantial casualties on both sides.
We can't afford to sacrifice more F-35's and we're out of defensive Patriots and THAAD. Word is we're even low on Tomahawks
Last thing he needs is to push Iran into launching hypersonics at Carriers and destroying neighboring countries O&G facilities

Agree with @johnfitz he'll call it a Victory and be done with it all until after the midterms.
Most of MAGA hasn't been paying attention and will shout 'Murica! and Faux Entertainment will tell them how we won and how we control the Strait :rofl:

If the Republicans maintain control in the Fall he'll go back, but honestly that will be the least of our problems at that point.

No. But the claim raises a much more important question about how the United States selects targets, protects civilians, and prepares for a large-scale war against an adversary such as Russia or China.

In this video, I respond to a viral video from @ohhthatsrich about the defunding of the Civilian Protection Center of Excellence, or CPCE. We look at what the organization actually did, whether its closure contributed to the strike on the Shajareh Tayyebeh girls’ school in Minab, Iran, and why every American military target still goes through legal review.

I also explain the difference between counterinsurgency operations and Large-Scale Combat Operations. During the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the United States could surveil a target for days or weeks and send strike decisions far up the chain of command. In a war against Russia or China, a missile launcher may only be visible for a few minutes—and commanders may have to decide whether to strike even when civilians or protected buildings are nearby.

That does not mean civilian casualties do not matter. It means war forces commanders to make decisions with incomplete information, limited time, and consequences either way.

This is not a takedown of @ohthatsrich. I contacted him while preparing the video, and he reviewed the script. This is a lesson about targeting, legal review, civilian harm mitigation, and why military organizations designed for the last war may not be suited for the next one.

No, LOL, I rarely play individual stonks. Almost exclusively ETFs
I was in XLK and cashed out along with my XLE about an hour ago

Only things I'm in now and holding likely until year end is SCHD and back in GLD at $367
That uses about 2/3 of my play money, so I'll keep that other 1/3 dry for any opportunistic plays

Understanding reached on coordinates for shipping route through Hormuz, Iran says

Iran and Oman have reached an understanding on ⁠the geographic coordinates for a shipping route through the strait of Hormuz, and ⁠a joint announcement ⁠is being finalised provided certain third parties do not interfere, Iran’s foreign ministry spokesperson Esmail ⁠Baghaei said on Wednesday.

Baghaei added that any such agreement between Iran and Oman would not, by ⁠itself, guarantee security in the strategic waterway.

The deal appears to be a stepping stone toward a broader ceasefire agreement with the United States that would reopen the strait of Hormuz for marine traffic, and lift a US blockade on Iranian ports that has brought upheaval to global energy markets. It comes as Donald Trump has claimed that there could be an announcement as soon as Wednesday on a separate US-Iran peace deal.
