Been a couple of weeks. I wonder how many civilians Trump will kill there?
They needed a reason, Israeli media was saying they have mossad/cia agents with the protesters. Don't forget the boat load of Starlink terminals that was seized by them. Remember mossad built drones inside Iran to target their air defenses. Iran showed videos of protesters firing weapons and attacking mosques. Which they say a muslim wouldn't do. This was years in the making.
Even in Ukraine during the 2014 coup which saw the removal of a democratically elected government, it's alleged that CIA backed snipers opened fire at peaceful protestors to start a violant coup.
Wiki has a whole bunch of regime change coups with similar methods.

FSB may have been outsmarted by CIA. But it still doesn't change the fact.
Putin bribed the then Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovych government with 15 billion worth of Eurobonds and cheap Russian gas with 40% discount, in exchange for being friendly with Russia and economic ties.
Ukraine itself was a cess pool of corruption. Even with 33 to 35% discount on Russian LNG , Ukraine was unable to pay even the cheaper LNG bills. To be fair that entire soviet union block of countries including Russia is full of corruption.
Zelensky himself did a 180 like Trump. In 2019 Zelensky won the election with a campaign promise to end the Donbas war and to improve ties with Russia.
Ukraine is still just as corrupt and Putin also got to see the rot in his military leadership during the past few years and the clean up as been fast.
I dunno. It's a war, but it's not a war, but it is. The war was on in the first hour, but the war wasn't won in the first hour. The USA doesn't need anyone else in the world. The USA needs everyone's help.
If, somehow, everyone at the White House could all be on the same page, and quit changing their answers every time a question is asked, that would be nice.
