I've been thinking more about this overnight, and the Shiites will jump in and throw their stones now that their "pope" has been taken out.
Expecting potentially a Sunni-Shiite Civil War.
Closing the Straight of Hormuz and Iran from shipping Oil out, should hurt China more than the USA.
Iran started this with Oct 7th attacks, and this is a decisive moment - with Russia a past protector of Syria and Iran fighting for their life vs Ukraine, China currently in serious economic challenges and short of their target to be prepared to take Taiwan. USA has it's issues - but is much better prepared for this now that the US is an oil exporter again.
