Scenario: I am using a Dahua camera with IVS enabled and Blue Iris subscribed to ONVIF for triggering.
I tested creating an IVS rule with audio linkage enabled (i.e. 'warning, this is a restricted area' etc) and it works well. With a bit of trial and error around undocumented file sizes, codecs, etc I also managed to upload custom tts-generated audio files.
When I disarm Blue Iris (shield to red) of course the IVS rules continue to work on the camera, so if I pass in its field of view I get the audio warning.
I managed to use CGI commands to activate / deactivate IVS rules, so my thinking is one IVS rule with audio linkage and the same one, but without audio linkage, and then I enable/disable them based on Blue Iris shield.
I can draw the rule polygon on the second rule and make it close enough to the first one, but it strikes me as odd that there is no way to clone a rule and then edit it.
I tried using CGI commands to get the config for the first rule (worked fine) but I just could not manage to create a second one with the same parameters (different name and no audio linkage) via the same path.
Has anyone tried something similar? Any success stories or pointers?
(reason why I want IVS enabled even with Blue Iris disarmed is that I use this information via MQTT for other purposes beyond recording/alerts)
