Just some info in case some don't know about IPCT's BI Server Uptime Watchdog and their Free DDNS service.
I got emails early this morning apparently when there was local power outage at a client's place of business. During that time the BI server was down and I got an email @ 0157. When it returned, the WAN IP had changed (it's Brightspeed ADSL and is dynamic), BI Tools updated the hostname and IPCT DDNS emailed me @ 0334.. Then the next time the Uptime Watchdog polled the server it was "UP" and it emailed me @ 0412.
I use BI Tools and a supplied API key by IPCT at the remote BI server to tell IPCT DDNS when the server WAN IP changes. Works great!
