IP Dome - is RS485 Required

Hi all
This may be a silly question for those experienced, but I have a 2DF5284−A PTZ dome that is working in that video and Zoom work over Ethernet but Tilt and Pan do not.
Initial power up indicates on screen that the Pan and Tilt test failed.
Is RS-485 required for this - I cannot find anything specifically telling me it is, and maybe foolishly I have assumed it would be controlled over the Ethernet cable.

its not required; if the OSD indicates the PTZ test failed then something's broken.. anything interfering with movment?

Thanks for quick reply - I will have to get it down to check if anything is interfering. A job for tomorrow.
Typically I should have set it up on the ground first to check it was all working but the customer was in a rush to get it up.
