I found this guy uploading his cam captures to youtube...

Weird, it seems to be uploading motion events. I guess he's using youtube like a cloud service or something? Like you said, why not make it private rather than public?
 
No, and I would think if you asked youtube support, they wouldn't even want you to do this.
 
Thats the think, if he is savvy enough to get this to work, you would think hes aware that its all public...
 
More than likely it was an option in his camera, and he is not savvy enough to realize the videos are public.
