I agree with Parley, I think there was a row going on from the body language and actions. Whilst the reversing into the can was probably an accident, I doubt the going forwards was.
If that's the case, she needs to cool down before driving....that backing up fast for 100 yards on a residential street with people and/or children on bikes, electric wheelchairs, etc. nearby or just standing on the sidewalk are at risk with her (him?) on the loose...if they didn't see a large gray 30 gallon trash can, they can't see the above lifeforms of greater value than a trashcan.
