how to reset nvr and cameras

hey guys
how would you reset both the nvr and ip cameras to factory defaults at the same time?
i have a ds-7608ni-i2 and some DS-2CD2355FWD-I cameras

now i know i can go to the nvr and select the factory reset option, but that doesnt seem to reset the cameras to factory default.
i could web browse to each camera via the nvr virtual host and rest each camera that way...but its impractical.

i just want to reset all the cameras and nvr in one big "hit"

Yes, that's correct. It would leave the cameras in their as-configured states.

Well, one way or the other, you'll have to touch each camera individually.
And you'll need to deal with the fact that when they reboot as 'Inactive' when connected to the NVR PoE port it will grab them, and Activate them again.

Although the Batch Configuration Tool can do mass configuration changes - as far as I know it won't mass reset to defaults.
