ive got a hikvision video doorbell
with indoor screen
and im trying to integrate it with the empiretech nv5-el nvr i have purchased so i can record the video stream along with my empiretech cameras.
the nvr is connected to my main switch, the hikvision devices are connected to their own small POE switch which in turn is connected to the main switch.
i have managed to get them all in the same IP range (which was a pain in itself)
the NVR shows both the doorbell cam and the internal screen thingy as onvif devices in its list..
i can add them to channels, however even inputting the passwords, i get a red dot on them and no video feed.
i tried to follow this guide:

however im stuck almost at the first step, since the web interface of my doorbell cam does not have the onvif settings at all..

so i have no idea if the camera is set up correctly to send video to the NVR.
i also note that since i ran the hikvision web interface, it asked me to install a plugin to get the live feed.. i installed that, and since then, my empiretech NVR web interface live feed shows a white screen.
ive tried uninstalling it, which stops hikvision working, the nvr then asks for a plugin to be installed, i install the one it links to, but i still have no nvr live video.. something is broken.
i usually use chrome, but i have same result in edge/iexplore.
im getting a real headache!
