HikVision NVR email alerts -- only after hours

Howdy,

We're running a HikVision DS-7616NI-E2 / 16P with firmware V3.4.3 build 160822. Just wondering if there's a way to send email alerts only after set hours? For example, we have a loading dock that we're monitoring and would like to receive email alerts when motion is detected after business hours. The loading dock is busy all day and the constant barrage of emails is overwhelming. But at night it would be great to be notified when someone shows up.

What type of recording are you using - event only, continuous only, event and continuous?
And the email alerts are from the NVR, not the cameras?

I have to admit I haven't actually tried this - but maybe worth testing:
Would the Event | Arming Schedule do what you need?

Thanks for the quick response. We're currently using event only recording and yes, the alerts are from the NVR and not the cameras.

I'll dig in to the arming schedule, it's worth a look.

That looks like it worked. If I turn off the event arming emails during business hours, it still records motion being detected, and emails after business hours. Great idea, thanks.
