Hi all,

I’m dealing with a strange issue on a Hikvision deployment and would appreciate input from anyone who has worked with DS-K1T342 terminals in intercom mode.

System Setup

  • Door station: Hikvision DS-K1T342MFWX-E1
  • Indoor unit: Hikvision DS-KH9510-WTE(B)

Network:

  • Dedicated LAN (isolated from corporate network)
  • No router / no internet access
  • All devices on static IP addresses
  • Connected via D-Link unmanaged 16-port switch (non-PoE)
  • Devices powered independently (no PoE involved)

Topology:

  • Multiple DS-K1T342 units on same LAN (other doors)
  • Only one indoor unit (KH9510) in this setup

Configuration

KH9510:

  • Community: 1
  • Building: 1
  • Unit: 1
  • Room: 1
  • Main Door Station IP configured

DS-K1T342:

  • Intercom mode: Press Button to Call
  • Call type: Indoor Station
  • Room number set to: 1

Observed Behavior

Initially (after setup / reboot):

  • Door → Indoor call works ✔
  • Indoor → Door call works ✔

After ~15–20 minutes:

  • Door → Indoor call fails ❌
    • Displays: “Call Failed”
  • Indoor → Door still works ✔
  • Door unlock from indoor works ✔

Important Notes

  • Network has been tested — stable, no drops
  • Configuration is confirmed correct (worked initially)
  • No DHCP involved (all static IPs)
  • No router, no NAT, no external dependencies
  • This is a pure LAN deployment

Additional Observation

  • Attempted to configure registration password on KH9510, but it did not persist/save
(not sure if relevant, but noting it)

Key Question

Has anyone seen a case where DS-K1T342 can call an indoor station initially, but loses that ability after runtime, while the indoor station can still call the door?

What I’m Trying to Determine

  • Is this:
    • a known limitation of K1T342 intercom functionality?
    • a firmware-related issue?
    • or something specific to using it without a router / server / SIP environment?

Any insight from someone who has deployed this exact or similar pairing would be highly appreciated.
