I have a Hikvision iDS-7208HQHI-M1/XT DVR (Turbo HD AcuSense series). Official spec is 12V DC, ≤18W without HDD.
My UPS/shopkeeper booster setup outputs steady 13.8V DC (typical full battery float voltage).
Has anyone run this model (or similar 7200HQHI series) continuously 24/7 on 13–13.8V from battery/UPS/solar without issues? Does it cause extra heat, capacitor failure over time, or is ±1–2V over nominal usually fine in practice?
Already monitoring for heat/reboots, but want real-user experience before leaving it long-term.
