Hikvision DS2CD2032F-I admin password problems

Hi All

Bought a camera off ebay (2CD2032F-I) and I learned my lesson about upgrading firmware, so I avoided that ;-)

The problem I am having is that I can't even get into the admin page, I tried the following username & password combinations

admin/admin
admin/1234
admin/12345
admin/123456789abc

I've power cycled the device 3 times and still nothing.

It appears fine in SADP (3.0.0.2) but without the password I can't change the IP address or do anything else with it.

I also tried the password reset tool, linked from this forum, but SADP is reporting that it's a 5.3.0 build 150513 firmware so i'm not sure if the reset tool will work with it, oddly, it's reporting that the start date is 2004-01 11, which seems a little old to me.

Any help or ideas?

Does the camera have a reset button on the back of the body?
If so - press before power up, keep pressed for 30secs, and the camera is back to defaults.
But also try 123456789a and 123456789ABC that members have said that sellers have used.
 
Got it working now.

Pressed the reset button while it was powered on

Also, pressed the reset before powering on.

SADP asked me to activate the camera with a new password, which I then used to configure the camera in Internet Explorer

All working, cheers for the advice.
