Hi all,

I've written a custom Home Assistant integration for Hikvision gear, because the built-in one only covers basic motion and alarm sensors. It talks ISAPI directly to your NVR/DVR or camera, completely local, no cloud required.

Features:
  • Push events, no polling: events arrive over the device's alert stream – motion, line crossing, intrusion, region entrance/exit, tamper, video loss, scene change, defocus, audio exception, optional person/vehicle.
  • NVR channels become their own devices: each camera behind the recorder gets its own HA device with streams, snapshots, detections and recording status. Cameras can optionally also be reached directly for image settings.
  • Detection switches: turn detections on/off per channel. Only the "enabled" flag is written back; the rest of the configuration stays byte-identical.
  • Image settings: day/night, supplement lighhannel.
  • PTZ: pan/tilt/zoom buttons and a preset select per PTZ channel, also through the NVR.
  • Deterrence & audio: strobe light, siren sound/volume, speaker and microphone volume on cameras that have them.
  • Health: storage status, CPU, uptime, eventn misconfigurations (e.g. "Notifysurveillance center" not ticked in linkage).
  • Careful with logins: a rejected password i it won't lock your account.
  • Optional Hik-Connect status, including whether stream encryption is on.

Tested devices:
  • NVR: DS-7608NXI-I2/8P/S
  • Cameras: DS-2CD2387G3-LIS2UY/SL, DS-2CD2T1IS2UY, DS-2CD20126G3-IUY,DS-2CD2387G2P-LSU/SL, DS-2CD2T87G2-L, DS-2DE5425IW-AE(T5)(B), DS-2CD2023G2-IU, DS-I253M(C)
Other ISAPI devices should work as well.

Install:
HACS → three-dot menu → Custom repositories → add GitHub - yannik2480/hikvision_bridge: Home Assistant integration for Hikvision NVRs and cameras over ISAPI as type "Integration", then add "Hikvision Bridge" uvices. Requires Home Assistant 2026.9 ornewer.
A dedicated (non-admin) user is enough – the README lists which remote permission each function needs.
