So to keep it short, i bought 2 Hilook POE cams afew months ago, set them up no problem. Then a while ago bought an extra 2 of the exact same cams so i could have 4.
there all connectd to the NVR, But the 2 newest arent posting on screen. iv tried to fix it by reseting the camera with the reset button on the camera.
I went into the NVR settings and changed the IP there to a similar one as the ones working and nothing still.
They do all work, because when i reset the cams the nightvision light flashes on and back off. And the NVR reckonizes their there but cant post on screen.
Im aware of SADP tool aswell, iv no access to a laptop with a ethernet port right now. i just have a PC with 1 port and if i use that the PC wont have internet (not sure if that matters)
I kinda know what im doing but i dont know Exactly how to, so a dummys guide would be great if possible lol
Cheers
Can post some pic that might be more explanitory

Dear John,

What is the NVR model number and firmware version?

Do you have a monitor and mouse connected to the NVR or are you using the NVR web GUI?

If you can, post a picture/screenshot of your devices page:

Hi there,
The NVR model no. is NVR-104MH-c/4p and version no. V4.76.015.
yea there both connected to the nvr
The last pic it says 3 cams are connected but only 2 show and the 4th is actually pluged out of the nvr.

any other info needed let me know

It probably doesn't matter, but what are the camera model numbers?

Can you check/post a picture of the "PoE Binding Configuration" page (to confirm PoE port 1 is turned on since that camera is drawing 0W).

I don't remember, but in V4 NVR software, do you get any further status information if you place the mouse over that red X (or click on it)?

The underlined pencil under the operation column... have you compared the settings for a camera that is working vs a camera that is not? Are the cameras set for plug and play or manual there?

I missed this and not sure exactly what you mean... the 4th camera you mention is "plugged out of the NVR"... do you mean you have it temporarily unplugged while you are testing?

Or is it instead connected to the LAN (with a PoE injector) the NVR is on?

yes just for testing, i was or tried to use the SADP tool

this is what it says when i click on the X, and on mouse over it pops up network unreachable.

and as for the settings i couldnt change one at all becasue there nothing pluged in and the other one that doesnt post but was plugged in was on manual setting (because i changed it to change the IP) but out of the box i think they were plug & play, the IPs were just differrent ?!?! 20251013_185422.jpg

The first two working cameras seem to have been added using plug & play... that is why they have N/A under the security column...

Try starting over like this... reset both new cameras with the reset button and wait for them to boot back up... then unplug both of the cameras... then while the cameras are unplugged from the NVR, hit the "trash can" icon under the "Operation" column for PoE ports 1 and 4 where the cameras were connected... then plug the cameras back in and post another picture of the "Camera/IP Channels" page...

will do that now with one thats beside me, if it fixes this one, the other ''broken'' cam is under a soffit on the house high up so il repeat the steps for that one.
the model of the cam is IPC-T289H-MU if thats any help like u said.
i just rest the camera the way hik tell u to, and without using the trash can because its grayed out as u can see in the pic

D1 im guessing is the one i restarted

If you now unplug that D1 camera from the NVR, does the garbage can icon show up? If it does, use that icon the delete the D1 camera, and then try plugging the camera in again.

Also, you mentioned you tried using SADP earlier... but you can only use SADP if you have some way to power the camera other than the NVR PoE port... do you have a PoE injector or a PoE switch available?

i unpluged the cam and tryed to delete it and it says deleting POE channel is not allowed and the same for the other not working cam slot.
i do not have either of thoes sorry, so obviously i wasnt using the SADP properly

is there a way to delete and hard rest everything so its all nutural and works like plug and play ?

That is what I was trying to do... plug camera PoE1 back in and hit the edit button (pencil icon under operation column)... post a picture of that window...

(After that we can try running SADP on your PC by plugging the computer network cable into PoE port 4... SADP on that PC should then be able to see the camera on PoE port 1... but don't try this until you post the picture of the edit window)

can you check the "Use Camera Activation" box? If not, can you try typing the camera password in that password box... see if either or both of those cause the "OK" button to turn on... if so, hit the OK button.

cant check it and it doesent highlight when password is in. I think it allowed me to do it on the other cam or when the setting is on manual and not plug and play. i tried it anyway and did nothing
