Hik-Connect will NOT go "online"

I have a HikVision Camera, model DS-2DE4A425IW-DE, and I have it directly connected to my note book computer (really trying to isolate to find problem at this point). I'm able to log into the camera and everything works perfectly. However, I can not get the Hik-Connect platform to go "online" so I can connect to it with the IOS app. I've spent about 2 days on this now to no avail. Telnet is working. All good form SADP, etc. Also, I was able to get my NVR DS-7608NI-I2-8P to work with Hik-Connect. Both devices has the same verification code if that matters? Serial numbers are obviously different on both devices.
 
Ok, in that case I don't see how the camera can reach the internet, there is no connection.

Suggestion :
Turn off WiFi on the notebook.
Connect a cable from the PoE switch to the router.
 
Assume your router is dishing out DHCP addresses,... what address did SADP show the camera was using ? did you flip it over to dhcp ? is the address its using part of what your 'internal' range is ?

Router is on DHCP. Camera is not and SADP is showing 192.168.254.2. I can hit the IP there and it works perfect on browser. My computers ethernet port is setup to see that range and I my camera works fine in the browser mode via live view.
 
So what subnet is your internal range then ? is it 192.168.254.0 with a mask of 255.255.255.0 - guessing not.

As you 'made' your computer see that range, your router also needs to be made aware of the range. Not sure if you can multi-home your router's internal NIC.

Are you intentionally trying to separate things for isolation ? If not, for shits'n'giggles, why not flip the camera to dhcp and see what happens ? And use that as your baseline.
 
I know this was a while back but i just had the very same problem and i did everything that everyone says to do online and nothing worked. I got intouch with Hikvison and they told me that my DVR had been blacklisted and that is why it would not go online. they said the reason was because i tried to do a firmware upgrade but i used the wrong version of software. once they removed my device from the black list i was able to get the unit online again and everything is working just fine

I've had NVR's blacklisted 3 times doing firmware upgrade/downgrades but not since I started doing this:

Always disconnect the DVR/NVR from Hik-connect before doing any "odd" (older version, major release) firmware upgrade... if doing a firmware downgrade, definitely disconnect from Hik-connect before downgrading... then just re-connect to Hik-connect after the upgrade or downgrade is done.
