Hello everyone,
I’m looking for advice from anyone with real experience on Hikvision legacy NVRs and Hik-Connect.
I have an Hikvision NVR DS-7216HUHI-F2/N currently running firmware V3.4.80 build 170116.
Issue:
Hik-Connect / Hik Cloud P2P is unstable.
The platform access status is usually Offline, but occasionally it goes Online for a short time, then drops again without any configuration changes.
Current settings:
This really looks like a firmware compatibility / TLS / cloud backend issue, not a local connectivity problem.
I already contacted Hikvision support by email more than 10 days ago but received no response so far.
Questions:
Any shared experience or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
BR
Simone
I’m looking for advice from anyone with real experience on Hikvision legacy NVRs and Hik-Connect.
I have an Hikvision NVR DS-7216HUHI-F2/N currently running firmware V3.4.80 build 170116.
Issue:
Hik-Connect / Hik Cloud P2P is unstable.
The platform access status is usually Offline, but occasionally it goes Online for a short time, then drops again without any configuration changes.
Current settings:
- Platform Access: Enabled
- Access Mode: Hik-Connect P2P
- Server Address: dev.eu.hik-connect.com
- Region: EU
- NVR is fully reachable on LAN
- Internet connection is stable
- Gateway, DNS, date/time all correct
- No packet loss or routing issues on the network
This really looks like a firmware compatibility / TLS / cloud backend issue, not a local connectivity problem.
I already contacted Hikvision support by email more than 10 days ago but received no response so far.
Questions:
- Has anyone experienced the same “sometimes Online, mostly Offline” behavior on this model?
- Is there a newer firmware officially compatible with DS-7216HUHI-F2/N that restores stable Hik-Connect connectivity?
- If this firmware is considered legacy, is Hik-Connect effectively unsupported on it?
Any shared experience or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
